I started on the driver's side of the Spitfire and so far have removed the floor pan, half of the rocker panel and started on the rear fender. If I give up Golf may be three days a week on the Spitfire!!! As I said before, HOPEFULLY, I can get back on the Spitfire at least one day a week, starting in July. Once I remove the tub from the frame and complete the body work THEN I can do all the stuff that needs to be done on the frame components. Does not look like too much trouble though, just a little time consuming. Looks like I may put that aside for a while as it will take too much time right now. Pulled wheels off one front and one back to see what needs to be done in replacing the lug bolts to larger ones: just do not like the few turns the lug nuts have on the Mini Light reps. Took the brake and clutch pedals and mountings off, cleaned, painted and reassembled. At this point I am doing little things on the Spitfire due to only having a small amount of time now and then.

Still doing stuff around our home.I really need to down size but unfortunately we love our place. Should be starting up again on the body work in late June 2015.I hope. Took it all apart again and put the parts away in prep for the continued body work on the right side. This should correspond with the black with red trim flooring upholstery. Looks really good and I ordered a black leather with red stitching for the shift boot.

I put the Miata seats and other stuff in temporarily to see the fit and supporting structure needed.

However, I did pickup a Hundai Tibruon center console and cut it down to fit. Doing yard work which should be done by June 12th! Note: right side went well and looks good, hope left goes as well. Once finished the left side, I will remove the body from the frame. Will now work one day a week on the Spit. Stopped project to do a home project-replacing doors. Pulled wiring out from trunk area so I can start on left side of car and replace the inner sill properly. Finished one side of the Spit: right floorpan, sills, rocker, inner and outer rear fender. Slow going, just doing a little at a time and not rushing it! Will be replacing the rockers and rear fenders next (one side at a time). January 2015: Now I am working on the body parts. Repaired the transmission and put it aside. Got the Webers, removed the SUs and fired up the engine again.how sweet it is!

Tuned it a bit and then ordered dual DCOE 40s. It is now complete and I fired it up back in December 2014, ran well on first startup. Well in 2014 most of my work was done on the engine.
